The LES sensors determine the position of objects via their edges. By detecting height defferences, he sensor calculates and delivers accurate object positions. That way heights and widths or positions are reliably provided as data for further processing. At the same time one or more edge positions can be output via the individual configuration.

In contrast to light scanners, light section sensors do not create punctual light spots. Instead they project a divergent light beam by means of line illumination. This allows the height profiles of objects be determined with an inclined setting angle. In this way, the light section technology offers a large array of functions with regard to safe object detection and a large detection range at the same time. Furthermore, as is typical of all Leuze electronic light section sensors, the transmitter as well as the receiver are integrated in a compact housing.

Configure muting modes without a PC! With the Multipe Light Beam Safety Devices of the MLD series, a total of 6 different muting operating modes can be easily set. Configuration is performed by means of wiring or pin assignments at the plug and socket. Further auxillary equipment, such as a PC, software, etc., is no longer required and additional muting devices are not required. When setting up the muting application, this simplifies the overall construction.

The AMS 300i Laser Distance Measurement Devices have become accessible to the world of international fieldbus communication via their compact M12 connector - almost without limits. This includes
PROFINET and PROFIBUS as well as EtherNet/IP, DeviceNET, CANopen, EtherCAT and Ethernet TCP/IO or Interbus. The laser distance measurement systems of the AMS 300i are also worthy of the term "limitless" with measurement distances of up to 300 meters!

Leuze electronic's Light Beam Safety Devices of the MLD 300 and MLD 500 series are active opto-electronic protective devices for persons at access points or at hazard locations of machines and plants. Leuze electronic barcode positioning system (BPS) is able to measure a position with absolute millimeter accuracy, independent of reference points. As a result, it is able to provide a unique position value at any time (within 1 mm). With the highly flexible and hard-wearing barcode tape, the system can even be used with curves or guide tolerance and at lengths of up to over 6 miles.
