| For applications in EX zones 2 (gases) and 22 (non-conductive combustible dust), the type 4 COMPACT Safety Light Curtain is now available in the COMPACT EX2 design variant, with impact-resistant interlocking front plates, likewise for selected heights of protective field and answering to protective class “n” (non-sparking).
This means that it fulfils the requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EX, Appendix X, which has been binding since 07/03.
